There have been some big changes to the Treasure Valley's TaVaci program in 2014! There is a new Director, Glenna Rasmussen who took over in the Spring of 2014. She does a fabulous job teaching the children and executing an amazing program. Please refer to her new website for current information about how to register your children for the 2014 Fall Semester starting in September! Locations For Spring 2014 Semester

We have a new location for Kuna classes. They will be held at Hubbard Elementary in the gym.

Meridian classes will still be held at Valley Life Community Church.

It's time to register for TaVaci's 2014 Spring semester. To register contact Angela Hatch by e-mail angiectr@gmail.com or by phone 1208-353-3131
I will contact you asap after receiving your registration request. I will honor your request on a first come first serve basis, so register to save your child's spot! It's easy to register, just e-mail me your Child's name, age, phone# and home address, city in which you wish to participate, and mail me your registration fee. That's it!

I hope your children are as excited as I am for the performance this weekend. I have been hearing how hard they are working at memorizing their speaking parts and practicing their songs. I can hardly wait to see their hard work pay off on stage!
 
As a reminder here are the details for costumes:
Tiny & Minor Tune Girls pre-2nd grade- you provide black shoes.
Major & Harmony Tune Girls 3-6th grade- you provide black socks/shoes.
All Boys- you provide black pants, black socks and black shoes.

Everyone should arrive  for dress rehearsal in full costume with hair done. The children's hair can be styled however you like as long as it looks clean and doesn't cover their face. Please include the bow. Dress rehearsal is during normal class time so don't be late! We only have an hour to go through speaking parts and songs, being on time is crucial. 

On Saturday the children need to be ready to rehearse at 9:00 am! They should enter the Kuna Performing Arts center through the main entrance. This will also be the entrance for the performance Saturday at 5:00pm. Please have your children arrive for the performance at 4:30 pm. They will meet in the choir room that is adjacent to the auditorium. They need to bring a water bottle and a non messy snack to the Saturday rehearsal. They do not wear their costumes to the Saturday rehearsal! Casual clothes, even (appropriate) pajamas are fine. Saturday is a MANDATORY REHEARSAL so be on time and no one is to leave early. I need their attention and cooperation from 9-12 that morning. If a student misses rehearsal for a specialty number they will not be able to perform it that night.

We are almost in October and what a wonderful month September has been for me! I'm busy learning what it takes to be a TaVaci Director and having a fun time teaching your fabulous children each week!

Here are some important dates to remember and mark on your calendars:

*We will have fittings for costumes on October 15th (Kuna) and 17th (Meridian) during normal class times. If you have a used costume to sell, bring it that week and we will try to sell it for you. If you need a costume for your child, please contact me so I am aware.

*There will be NO TaVaci on October 29th, 31st, November 26th and 28th.

*Dress rehearsal is mandatory and will be on December 3rd (Kuna) and 5th (Meridian) during their normal class times. They must come in full costume including hair done, tights, shoes, hair bows and all.

*The performance is scheduled in the Kuna Performing Arts Center on December 7th at 5:00pm. Students need to arrive by 4:30. There will be a mandatory rehearsal the morning of the 7th from 9-12. The children should NOT wear their costume to this rehearsal.

*We will have classes on December 10th (Kuna) and 12th (Meridian). This will be our last class for the semester and I will provide pizza for a Pizza party. I will be combining classes on those days so all Kuna students will meet at 4:15 and all Meridian students will meet at 4:30. The Children are welcome to bring treats to share for the party.

I have been trying to secure a new location for Kuna classes and it has been a bit difficult. Until I can find a new location please enter the parking area from the back alley and exit onto Main St. I am hoping this will make things a bit easier for everyone in the meantime.

Hello Tavaci families. Our classes start next week and I have some important information for you!

1.I have found a new location for the Kuna rehearsals. They will be held at the Kuna Community Hall. The address is W Main St, Kuna, ID, 83634, it's located between the Jackson's gas station and the post office. There is some parking behind the building for drop offs and pick-ups. It is a 2 story building, the rehearsals will be upstairs. Since I don't want children going outside unattended after rehearsal I will have them wait in the lower level until their driver comes in to get them. Please discuss this with your children so they know my rule. Unfortunately I will not be able to look after them while they wait for their ride.

2. THERE HAS BEEN A TIME CHANGE FOR KUNA REHEARSALS! Due to the meridian school district changing their school times this year, I need to change the 4:00 class to 4:15-5:15, and the 5:00 class to 5:15-6:15.

3. Meridian classes will be at the Valley Life Community Church. It is the church on the corner of Locust Grove and Chinden. Rehearsals will be upstairs in the same room and time as last year.
 
 4. On arrival for the first rehearsal I will need parents to sign the registration and policy forms. Monthly tuition is due by the first rehearsal of every month. You can pay by cash or check. Please may checks out to Angela Hatch.  Don't forget that when you refer a friend that signs up you get $30 cash!

I have extended the date from the 10th to the 15th for you to take advantage of the early bird discount. If I receive your registration fee and semesters tuition by August 15th then you can deduct $15 from the full semesters tuition, making it $117 per student plus registration.
I hope you are all having a great month so far and are cramming as much summer fun in as possible before school starts:)
